Are you ready to join a fast-moving start-up in the gaming industry? We’re seeking a talented ETL Developer to be part of our dynamic team at Gaming Analytics. If you’re passionate about querying data from various casino management systems, building ETL workflows, and fearlessly diving into complex data sources then keep reading!
This position is remote, however if you are local to San Francisco or Philadelphia, a hybrid working environment is encouraged for collaboration. You will report to the SVP of Technology and work closely with the rest of our engineering team, data scientists, business experts and management.

What will you do?
- Utilize your SQL expertise to extract valuable insights by querying data from diverse casino management systems and third party systems.
- Collaborate closely with our development and data science teams to understand data requirements and design efficient ETL workflows for seamless data ingestion.
- Take ownership of building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines to ensure smooth data flow from source to destination.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ingested information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain the optimal performance of our Gaming Analytics application.
- Fearlessly dive into new and complex data sources, embarking on a quest to uncover valuable information even without the luxury of data dictionaries.
- Embrace the challenge of exploring unfamiliar datasets, using your analytical skills to decipher their structure and extract meaningful insights.
- Stay updated with the latest ETL trends and technologies, bringing innovative ideas to enhance our data integration strategies.
An ideal candidate has:
- Experience with various casino management systems as a casino operator is preferred. Familiarity with systems like Bally, IGT, Konami or Aristocrat is a plus!
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to navigate databases and derive insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with neo4j Graph Databases and Python/nodeJS are valuable advantages, but not required, showcasing your ability to work with and ingest intricate data relationships.
- Self-motivated and capable of working remotely, demonstrating excellent task management skills and meeting deadlines independently.
- A collaborative mindset, willing to contribute wherever needed and work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
